Description
Learn how to effectively respond to workplace health and safety (WHS) challenges involved in direct client care. This training is highly valued by employees in centre-based or home-based care services. Stay compliant, informed, and safe at work.
Understand how to participate in safe work practices to protect yourself, clients, and others; contribute to the development and implementation of further practices; follow manual handling procedures and instructions; follow safe work practices for infection control; and reflect on your own practices.
The Unit contains:
- learning content
- case studies
- formative assessments; and
- learning checkpoints.
This is a one day only course combining online computer based learning theory and practical skills.
All students will need to wear enclosed footwear and appropriate clothing for undertaking physical manual handling activities.
